Mark Behan founded the strategic communications firm Behan Communications in Upstate New York 1988 after a career as a reporter, editor and newspaper executive. He has served as an adviser to CEOs of many companies and major not-for-profit organizations and has specialized in helping clients manage high-visibility issues.

Mark is a director of Arrow Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: AROW) and Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Co. and serves on the boards of the Glens Falls Foundation, the E. Leo Spain Foundation and Kelly’s Angels. He has served as a director or trustee of The Hyde Collection art museum, Albany Medical Center, Glens Falls Hospital , the Economic Development Corp. of Warren CountyCrandall Public Library, the Chapman Historical MuseumSt. Mary’s-St. Alphonsus Regional Catholic School, and the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce . He is a recipient of Crandall Public Library’s Henry Crandall Award and the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce’s J. Walter Juckett Award for community service.

Mark is a graduate of Colgate University and completed executive development programs at the Harvard Business School and the Harvard Law School.
