Providing grants for Parson Child and Family Center Providing grants for Crandall Library Buildings Providing grants for Double H Ranch

A cornerstone of our Foundation’s philosophy is to contribute to the betterment of children and their families in our giving communities. From combating child hunger and expanding access to healthcare, to strengthening families and encouraging kids with medical conditions, the Foundation embraces and supports grants that have the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life of the child.

One vibrant symbol of Charles Wood’s hopes for children, and his irrepressible spirit, is the Double “H” Hole in the Woods Ranch in Lake Luzerne, New York. Since 1993, thousands of children with serious medical conditions have found delight in this residential medically supervised children’s camp that provides specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. The camp was purchased and renovated by Charles Wood as part of his goal of advocating, and facilitating, the fine art of having fun. To date, the Double H Ranch has received funding of more than $10 million from the Foundation.

We will give priority consideration to programs and capital projects that meet our goals. It is the intent of the foundation to continue to fuel Charley’s legacy of hope, compassion and healthy, wholesome fun through grants that make a meaningful difference, one child at a time.
